HORSE was developed to bridge the data between your patient encounter / billing system and the CART abstracting software. It scans a report of your patient encounters, identifies cases of interest to CART, performs a sampling where warranted and prepares a file for direct import to CART. This process saves your facility many hours of searching for and entering cases into CART. It also avoids possible errors with the sampling methods required by CMS and eliminates data entry error into the CART system.
